How does the film industry reflect the diversity of ethnicities in your country? Last year the Academy Awards/Oscars in the United States were criticized for reflecting mostly white actors, writers and directors. The hashtag 'Oscars So White' became popular on social media and generated a lot of discussion about the lack of African Americans and people of other ethnicities in U.S. films. This year there are some high profile U.S. films with African American actors in the lead roles: Moonlight, Fences, Hidden Figures, Loving.
Does that reflect a real change?
